Is Bub AI a chatbot or an AI agent?

An AI agent. A chatbot follows a script; Bub AI is 12 specialist agents that decide what to do with each message — route it, answer it from your knowledge base with a citation, draft a reply for a human, summarise the thread or translate it — and escalate to a person when confidence is low.

Is Bub AI secure? Where does my data go?

Conversation data is processed through LLM APIs in inference mode under data-processing agreements and is not used to train external models. Data is stored in AWS Mumbai (DPDP Act aware) with Singapore failover; every AI action is audit-logged and AI can be switched off per project, channel or ticket. See the Security page for details.

Will Bub AI replace my support team?

No. Bub AI is built to make your humans 3–5× more productive, not to replace them. Every AI reply can be edited; every escalation flows to a human with full context.

Does Bub AI hallucinate?

Hallucination is a real risk with any LLM. We mitigate it with: (a) source-cited FAQ answers — no citation, no answer; (b) confidence thresholds with auto-escalation; (c) LangGraph routing that constrains what kind of reply is generated. Pro plan adds custom model selection if you want stricter guardrails.

What LLMs do you use?

We use OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models depending on the task. Pro plan customers can pick a specific provider per agent.

What does a "token" mean for my usage?

A token is roughly ¾ of an English word. A 100-word reply ≈ 130 tokens. Simple widget chats average ~400 tokens; knowledge-grounded answers with RAG citations average ~1,800. The Hobby plan (50K tokens) handles ~125 simple chats or ~28 RAG-grounded ones.

Can I disable AI for specific tickets or channels?

Yes. Per-project, per-ticket, and per-channel toggles. Humans always remain in control.

Does my conversation data get sent to OpenAI for training?

No. We use LLM APIs in inference mode with data-processing agreements. Your conversation data is not used to train external models.

Where is my data stored?

AWS Mumbai region for Indian customers (DPDP Act compliant). AWS Singapore as failover. EU customers can request EU region on Pro plan.

Can I bring my own model?

On Pro plan, yes — bring your own OpenAI or Azure OpenAI key, and route specific agents to your model.

What if Bub AI gets something wrong?

Every AI message is editable, tagged, and traceable. The audit log shows which agent generated which reply and which sources it cited.

Are there hidden charges?

No. You get a monthly token allowance with your plan. Need more? Buy a token pack — flat rate, no per-resolution billing.

Is Bub AI available on the Hobby plan?

Yes. The full 12-agent suite is on every plan including Hobby ($9/mo), with 50K tokens/month.
